Saurabh Gaur is an IAS Officer of 2002 Batch belonging to AP Cadre. He is presently working as Secretary in Government of Andhra Pradesh. He has previously worked as Joint Secretary in Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology in Government of India. He has the distinction of authoring the Production Linked Incentive Scheme, popularly known as PLI Scheme for Mobile Phone manufacturing, IT Hardware and Electronic Components. This scheme has changed the narrative of manufacturing sector in India and is showcased as a success at National level. It has since been adopted in 12 other sectors. He has also served as the first CEO of Semicon India Programme that aims to establish India in semiconductor manufacturing. In his 20 years of career as a public servant, he has handled diverse assignments such as Private Secretary to the Minister of Commerce and Industry and also to Minister of Housing & Urban Affairs, Director (Direct Benefit Transfer Mission) in Cabinet Secreteriat etc.
