Rajani Athreya

Senior Director- HR, Insights Division, South Asia, Kantar

Rajani is the Senior Director- HR, Insights Division, South Asia, Kantar. She is a seasoned HR leader with about 30 years of industry experience across Banking, Securities, Information Services, Technology and Market Research. 

Rajani has been with Kantar since 2019 and works closely with the South Asia Executive Leadership and the Global HR Leadership, to drive business performance, organisational transformation and future-readiness in the South Asia region. She is a passionate proponent of Inclusion and Diversity in people practices and is a core member of Kantar South Asia’s Inclusion and Diversity Steering Committee. 

Prior to Kantar, Rajani has held leadership positions in multinational organisations like DBS Bank, Standard Chartered Bank, Standard Chartered Securities, ANZ Grindlays Bank and Thomson Reuters.  

Rajani started her career in Retail Banking and moved to HR subsequently, to pursue her passion. She is a strong believer in building capability, driving performance and institutionalizing culture.  She has worked with leaders across the globe and has partnered business through diverse scenarios like aggressive scale-ups, re-organization, M&A, brand-building and leadership transition. She is a mentor and coach to individuals and teams and has a reputation of being a trusted colleague and a strategic business consultant. 

Rajani holds a Physics degree from the University of Madras and is an MBA from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
