Himangshu Watts has an experience journalist with held important positions in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata for top national and international news organisations including the Economic Times, Reuters News and TV-18 in New Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata.

He is currently based in New Delhi as senior editor with Economic Times in charge of the energy and commodities verticals, heading a team of reporters in New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Pune and Kochi for the past eight years.

Before ET, he was with Reuters News for 12 years. He served as Reuters’ chief correspondent for company news based in Mumbai; chief correspondent, energy and commodities for South Asia, based in New Delhi; and Reuters senior correspondent for eastern and north-eastern India, based in Kolkata. He also worked for TV-18 as senior editor for the Asia Business News channel.

Himangshu holds a Physics (honours) graduate degree from Delhi University’s Hansraj College and a masters degree from JNU. He is a wildlife enthusiast, and fond of travelling and reading.
