The education industry in India follows a very dynamic process. Apart from the private players in the field of education, the Government of India has hugely contributed in the overall development of the country’s educational system. Owing to the fact that around 50 % of the nation’s population is youth, this sector has got a population of approximately 1.13 billion. On a whole, India has got about 11 million students educated by 0.5 million teachers in 18, 000 colleges and 367 universities.

As technology is rapidly changing the world around us, many people worry that technology will replace human intelligence. Some educators worry that there will be no students to teach anymore in the near future as technology might take over a lot of tasks and abilities that we have been teaching our students for decades. The thing is: Education will never disappear. It will just take up different forms.

The Economic Times, along with its knowledge partner MRSS, is proud to announce the launch of its coffee table book “Best Education Brands”, in continuation of its Best Brands series of books. This coffee table book will acknowledge the successful contribution of leading universities and colleges and take stock of the pace that these education brands are keeping to evolve with the digitization era and reinforce the relevance of contact education in these dynamic times.
